We’ll as the quarter and our 2nd year at school comes to an end I thought Id drop in with a quick update before I go to sleep, since this render won’t be done anytime soon.

Finals update .. yeah. .

Housing

Another year, another hq, At this point we are just ironing things out with the lease and trying to work out a time that the current residents and ourselves can move out/in with. Unfortunatly the lease says no dogs for the time being – but I should have a talk with gary about that this week.

General Life

I’m bored.. just seems like I sit at my machine waiting for the latest render to finish. As for company – no change. For my parents (well mother) yes, yes, perhaps.. and YES for are you eating, doing well, going to get straigh A’s and want your juujubes.

Notice

I know that father of the pride isn’t doing so well in the ratings but for heaven sake just leave the tv on watching it!

Plug

I am in the process of switching of/away from Hot Rod to a smaller company Asmallorange.com as they had a good deal, and I couldn’t stand the downtime at the previous place.

It should all be worked out by friday… till then.. =D

More good news! · 2192 days ago

After talking to Mary yesterday, I no longer need to test out of Advanced 2D before next quarter so I can get back into my PeterPan project at full swing.

I am looking forward to working in pre-production with a team that includes talents like: Jeremiah G, Heather P, Travis F, Matt C, Jason P, Erin L, Irene, Niroth, Marco, Becka.

It’s time to put our money where our mouths have been, and with Mary as our teacher for the first time, we’ve got one goal – To make it into the Electronic Theather. The holy grail of computer graphics each year.

The quest ends, with a condo. · 2192 days ago

After searching for our next place for the past 3 months, we have started the paperwork on a 1800sq ft condo on 19th Ave and Rivera. It fits our needs well with a large open living room within a block of muni to get to/from school. Doesn’t hurt that the bathrooms/kitchen have ample space either.

Many thanks go to Jeff, who has spearheaded this task from the beginning and has done a spectacular job at locating a place, getting it done. For myself it’s a nice relief to know that we almost certainly will have an even nicer place than we currently have shortly.

Talk has already begun about how to make the third revision of HQ better than ever. We continue to discuss getting a projector as the tv is on it’s last legs and we’ll projectors play XviD very easily. Travis has recently started the converstation on shotgun DSL. Basically load balancing our bandwidth needs over 2 moderate/fast DSL lines – something I am very interested in exploring.

The housing quest - continues · 2197 days ago

Here we are going on 4 weeks of hunting for the next HQ and it’s looking worse than when we started, after all we have less options (as we’ve already been turned down numerous times) and we are quickly running out of time.

It seems as if no one wants to rent to 6+ students. Can’t blame them, after what happened to both houses on my block in SJ when they were rented out to students. We are nothing like either of those sets of people. The worst thing about us is the power bill, after all we’re just a pack of computer nerds that like playing co-op in the living room on a saturday night. We don’t do drugs/drink – in fact the closest we get is bottled Rootbeer. I just wish someone would take a chance on us, I doubt we would let them down.

As for relator’s – I don’t understand them. You leave a message saying you’re interested in a place and they never call you back – is it not their job to sell you a place? Or perhaps they just already know it’s us and delete the messages.

1 month to go… or we’ll be in the fillmore for an extended amount of time.
