I’ve been thinking of making some rigging related tutorials so I’m reaching out to try and figure out what people want/need.
Topics I’ve thought of so far:
Joint Placement for deformation: A conceptual essay on cg skeletal structure vs. anatomical form and a practical study of placement in the back, shoulder, fingers and hips
Useful Nodes outside of the UI: Maya has numerous nodes I use daily when rigging that just aren’t apart of the GUI – An introduction to them and how they help.
Rigging inside a cg short pipeline: DO’s/DON’T and famous last words along with conceptual ideas like incremental rigging, fileReferencing, cgshort Pipelines that have worked.
So you’re animator? Rigging 101: How to setup a very simple yet effective rig in under an hour
